Lockdown Mode is an extreme iPhone security setting for people who may be targeted by advanced spyware or sophisticated digital attacks. It reduces the ways attackers can reach your phone by limiting risky features in Messages, Safari, Apple services, device connections, and shared content.

If you enable it, expect some websites to load differently, some message attachments to be blocked, shared albums and service invitations to be limited, and accessory connections to be stricter. When your iPhone is locked, new USB or wired accessories may not connect until you unlock the phone first. That can affect computers, external storage, audio gear, adapters, and some vehicle or diagnostic accessories.

Lockdown Mode favors protection over convenience. Turn it on only if your risk level justifies websites, messages, sharing, and accessories working less normally.
